I'm absolutely delighted to announce this very special event: The UK Slide Guitar Festival 2025!
Myself and slide legend Michael Messer have been cooking up this weekend stuffed full of slide guitar goodies. Whether you're a beginner slide guitarist or a pro, there will be something for you to enjoy.
The festival will be taking place on November 14th 15th & 16th 2025 in Folkestone, Kent. The whole event will be in a great hotel on the seafront with excellent facilities.
It will be a weekend of slide guitar tuition from two of the finest slide guitarists, Michael Messer and Phillip Henry. Plus jam sessions, student performances, great company, and a special Saturday night concert.
This is a weekend for anyone interested in playing slide guitar in blues & roots styles.
All levels are welcome (acoustic instruments only in the classes).
The cost of attending this event including single occupancy double hotel room for two nights, including breakfast, Friday night buffet, Sunday snack lunch, all classes, Saturday concert - £595.00
For double occupancy - £22.00 more for two nights
Best rooms with a sea view - Single occupancy - £80.00 more for two nights
Best rooms with a sea view - Double occupancy - £100.00 more for two nights
Extra nights (Thursday & Sunday) can be booked at the same rates as above.
Non-residential for the whole event - £350.00
Saturday full day rate, including the concert - £135.00
Folkestone is the Eurostar's first stop in the UK, so it's only 2 hours from Paris and easy from other European cities. It is an hour from Gatwick Airport by car and one hour from London by train.
Students on Phillip Henry's Slide Success course and members of Michael Messer's forum got an early heads up about this event, so tickets are already running low!
