I'm getting prepared for the very first Slide Guitar Festival 2025, coming to Folkestone in November!
Michael Messer and I will be welcoming anyone interested in playing slide guitar in blues & roots styles, for a weekend of tuition, jam sessions, student performances, great company, and a special Saturday night performance.
The gig on Saturday night will be a fantastic event in itself if you just fancy joining us for this: I imagine the atmosphere is going to be quite something!

The weekend schedule will look like this:
Friday: arrive and check in by noon. 13:30 Introduction to the event. 14:00-17:00 classes - 18:30 evening buffet - 20:00 student concert
Saturday: classes 10:00-12:00 lunch break - 14:00-17:00 classes - 20:00-23:00 evening concert at Folkestone venue with some special guests
Sunday: classes 10:30-12:30 - sandwiches & snacks lunch - 14:00-16:00 Q&A and open session with Michael & Phillip
The weekend event will be held at The Clifton Hotel, Clifton Gardens, Folkestone and there are options for single and double occupancy. This is a great chance to meet other musicians, take a deep dive into slide guitar or simply pick up some inspiration.
