Martin Simpson is a big name in slide guitar in the UK, and is widely recognised as one of the finest acoustic and slide guitar players in the world. I'm privileged to know him - it's great when you get to meet one of your heroes and to play alongside them is an absolute dream.
It's been great fun getting to know Martin during several years of touring and festivals, and there have been many memorable moments on stage. Here, we're playing with Steve Knightley (and my wonderful wife, Hannah Martin), and we're all waiting for Steve to let us know what's coming next!
Martin's 2024 album Sky Dancers is a great listen, packed with guest appearances from lots of big names. Look out for his appearances at folk festivals and shows this year and get along to see him if you can!
