The world is a pretty intense place right now and I know I'm finding it hard to tune out the events in the news and to concentrate, but the guitar has been helping to soothe my mind.
This week, rather than get into too much technique or theory, I want to share a lovely hypnotic Swamp Groove to get lost in.
I recently ran a session for my Slide Success students on Blues Grooves and in particular the all important shuffle groove. I'll share some more bits of that with you over the coming weeks but for today lets just get into this cool Swamp Groove.
I get asked for something “Swampy” all the time, so I went digging into the blues of the Louisiana region and got hooked on a musician called Slim Harpo.
