Last year, we held the first ever UK Slide Guitar Festival. It was a fantastic experience, packed with great music and excellent company, and we can't wait to do it all again this year!
The UK Slide Guitar Festival 2026 will take place in Folkestone, Kent, November 13th-15th 2026. The festival is held in a hotel on the seafront with excellent facilities, and there will be a concert at a venue in town on Saturday evening.
This event is run by Michael Messer & myself, and we'll be offering a range of workshops, jamming sessions and live gigs. You can contact either of us to book your place.
If you're tempted, here's a look at the weekend schedule:
Friday: arrive and check in by noon. 13:30 Introduction to the event. 14:00-17:00 classes - 18:30 evening buffet - 20:00 student concert
Saturday: classes 10:00-12:00 lunch break - 14:00-17:00 classes - 20:00-23:00 evening concert at venue (to be announced) in Folkestone.
Sunday: classes 10:30-12:30 - sandwiches & snacks lunch - 14:00-16:00 Q&A and open session with Michael & Phillip
The cost of attending this event including single occupancy double hotel room for two nights, including breakfast, Friday night buffet, Sunday snack lunch, all classes, Saturday concert - £595.00 GBP
For double occupancy - £22.00 more for two nights
Best rooms with a sea view - Single occupancy - £80.00 more for two nights
Best rooms with a sea view - Double occupancy - £100.00 more for two nights
Extra nights (Thursday & Sunday) can be booked through Michael at the same rates as above.
Last year quite a few people arrived on Thursday, which worked well for those with long journeys. It was a great evening and a good chance to get to know others.

Option 1 - Full payment as soon as reservation is placed is the preferred option.
Option 2 - 50% deposit with the remainder to be paid no later than September 11th 2026 at midday.
Payments by bank transfer - contact Michael Messer to make payment.
